Our 2016 Sangiovese displays aromas of raspberries, pomegranate, violets, and cranberries for a fruit forward introduction. For this vintage of Sangiovese, we used grapes from The Sanger Vineyard, which makes the fruit brighter and bolder on the palate. A smooth palate with pronounced tannins leads to a smooth, elegant red berry finish which makes this Sangiovese bold yet approachable to drink with or without food. If pairing with food, a rich lasagna or roasted duck would be perfect.
