Known by many names - Garnacha, Abudante, Alicante, Elegante, Rousillon Tinto and Tocai Rosso - Grenache is one of the most widely grown grape varieties in the world – and for good reason. Grenache grows well in warm climates (like the Rhone in France, many parts of Spain, and our very own Central Coast region) and produces wines with beautiful berry flavors, soft tannins and subtle spice characteristics. If you are patient enough to let our Grenache breathe, you’ll be rewarded with a wine that changes and develops in the glass with hints of pepper and rasberry. Aged 17 months in neutral French oak barrels, this slightly smoky, lighter bodied red wine will pair well with any backyard barbeque.

Grenache is a light to medium bodied red wine with an initially chalky texture that has flavors of cherry cola, licorice. With air, this grape has a tendency to evolve in the glass. Each sip reveals a new perception.
We sourced our 2012 Grenache from the Estelle Vineyard in the Happy Canyon AVA, a warm climate area of the Santa Ynez Valley. This vineyard site is optimal for the Italian grape allowing full flavor development.
