Discover the Excellence of Lucca Olive Oil at Sanger Wines


The Sanger Family Olive Grove is the only olive grove in the United States exclusively planted to the Lucca variety. Our 1,700 trees are planted on 10 acres and have been producing high-quality olives for more than a decade.

All work is done by hand and the olives are pressed locally. Following in pursuit of the purest traditional olive oil, the Marianello oils are all first-pressed, extra virgin. Oil produced from the Sanger Family Olive Grove has been the recipient of many awards and we are certified by the California Olive Oil Council.


100% Lucca Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Grown in our olive grove right here in the Santa Ynez Valley, this 100% extra-virgin olive oil is intended as a finishing oil to enhance, not overpower food.

This unusual variety is ideally suited for the Central Coast climate. In addition to its big peppery flavor, Lucca thrives in the temperate climate of the Santa Ynez Valley and produces an abundant harvest.

The olives are milled at Figueroa Farms in the Santa Ynez Valley, where they are ground to a paste, then malaxed (the industry's term for "mixed") to enable the smaller olive globules to meld into larger ones. The paste is then put into a centrifuge to separate the oil from the solids before being filtered and rested in barrels to settle and clear.

Flavored Olive Oils

We offer four of our favorite flavors: Lemon, Basil, Garlic, and JalapeƱo. Each will add a distinctive finishing touch to a dish, or make a delicious impression all on its own.

For our flavored oils, the Arbequina olive is used as a foundation for the flavors. This olive has a sweet zest that enhances the aroma and taste of these flavored olive oils. These flavored oils are produced by a small family operation here in California, as devoted to olive oil as we are.
