As the King of The Reds, we don't need to tell you why many of us enjoy a good Cabernet Sauvignon. Nuanced and elegant, this Cabernet offers delicate notes of black fruit, cola, hints of mocha, and a suggestion of mint

Softer and more delicate than our Paso and Napa counterparts, our Cabernet Sauvignon does not have the tannin or alcohol found in other regions. What this means for our wine is that we can achieve more complex flavors in our Cabernet without overpowering it with high alcohol, heavy new oak, and overly-intense tannins.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Sanger Estate Vineyard 25 acres Baseline Road Los Olivos AVA Owners: Bill & Jan Sanger Located right outside of Santa Ynez, the Sanger Estate Vineyard has a beautiful 25 acres under vine among the northern hills on the upper section of the property. These hills give us ample choices for plant orientation and varied sun exposure levels, allowing us to grow many different wine grape varieties. These include Sangiovese, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Virdot, Malbec, Merlot, Tempranillo, Graciano, Vermentino, Arneis, and Sauvignon Blanc. The majority of our soil is classified by UC Davis as Elder Sandy Loam. Because of it’s relative density and mineral composition, Elder Sandy Loam is one of the most highly desired soil types for vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley. 4% La Presa Vineyard Fruit - La Presa is home to some of the oldest surviving vines in the entire Santa Ynez region. Originally planted in the beginning of the 1970's these vines were planted directly into the ground without the use of graphing, making them exceptionally susceptible to disease and pests. The age of these vines is a testament to the time and care put into to managing this vineyard through the decades
